2009 Annual Dinner

At Stationers' Hall on 27th March, following a (mercifully) short AGM most efficiently run by President Peter Bonner - and after moistening their palettes for a short while, 98 Members and Guests sat down together to enjoy themselves in traditional Old Stationers' fashion...

For the gastronomes amongst you unable to attend the feast, these succulent delights had been prepared for us...

Naturally, no gathering of Old Stationers could be considered to be complete without additional liquid refreshments, which flowed suitably as Alamos Chardonnay (Argentina) 2007; Viu Manent, Malbec (Chile) 2007 - & a certain amount of the Hall's excellent Port... After the President had shared the traditional Loving Cup with all, coffee followed - & those who were able also snapped up the Hand-made Chocolates & Petit Fours.

Our Guest Speaker was Prof. Michael J Heath (Emeritus Professor of French Literature at Kings College London), who kept us all enthralled and entertained, and of course we were pleased to welcome our usual Guests of Honour - The Master of the Stationers' Company, Noel H Osborne, & the Clerk, Brig. Denzil Sharp.
